Things that helped me to recover

Being out in the real world
Meeting new people and a having a job in a young social setting
Beginning to hate anorexia and knowing she had ruined things for me not made them better
Realising I was still Rach; I had an identity without anorexia
Wanting to be independent and more like people my own age
Going on holidays with my friends
Finding people I could be myself with
I wanted my parents to be proud of me not disappointed
Reminding myself of what I would like to achieve
Enjoying food again and realising that even when I eat properly and things I like I don’t put on weight because this is my natural body weight
Having boys appreciate my body
